Lauren Silverman has spoken candidly about becoming pregnant with Simon Cowell’s child while still married, describing the experience as “one of the hardest times” of her life. Appearing on the 'Happy Mum' podcast on June 16, Silverman said the pregnancy, which ultimately led to the end of her first marriage, brought a mix of emotions and intense public scrutiny.
Silverman said she does not regret how events unfolded but acknowledged she wishes the situation had happened differently. She explained that despite the challenges, she felt certain that Cowell was the person she wanted to spend her life with.
Shortly after news of the pregnancy became public, Silverman and her then-husband, Andrew Silverman, filed for divorce. She and Cowell later welcomed their son, Eric, in 2014.
