Snoop Dogg got his start as a solo artist in the early ‘90s as a famous West Coast rapper who teamed up with fellow SoCal native Dr. Dre to put out his debut album ‘D*ggystyle.’ The success of singles like ‘Gin and Juice’ propelled his career forward and he spent the next two decades cementing his place in hip-hop history with songs like ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ and new albums every couple years. In 2001, Snoop directed an adult film titled 'Snoop Dogg's D*ggystyle,' produced by Hustler. It features the rapper's music along with the X-rated scenes. The adult film turned out to be a success, and other hip-hop figures began 'hosting' similar films. Snoop's take even won an AVN Award for the top-selling adult film of 2001.

He also started his own production company, Snoopadelic Films, in 2005. The debut film was 'Boss'n Up,' a film inspired by Snoop's album 'R&G,' and starring Lil Jon and Trina.

Though he doesn't seem like a skater himself, Snoop co-founded a skateboarding company called Snoop Dogg Board Company with his brother Bing Worthington, Jr. in 2005. They offer a complete line of skating products, from boards to backpacks.

In 2005, the rapper founded the Snoop Youth Football League in Southern California for underprivileged students in the greater LA area. In 2018, it was reported to be the largest football league of its kind.

The reality series 'Snoop Dogg's Father Hood' debuted in 2007 and ran for two seasons. It showed a look at Snoop's personal life, including his wife Shante and their children.

Slipper designer -

Around 2012, the rapper decided to release his own line of comfort footwear called Snoop Dogg Slippers. “The line features three colors of the classic microsuede house shoe, two styles of luxury slide-in slippers, and an adorable baby dogg slipper. Made with premium quality materials to ensure both cushion and style, Snoop's comfort footwear line is both fashionable and functional,” says the website.

Early app star -

In 2013, the rapper developed a photo-sharing app called Snoopify, which allows fans to paste stickers of his face or joints onto their photos to recreate his iconic style in a personal way.

Reddit investor -

In 2014, Snoop made headlines when he invested in Reddit. He, along with actor Jared Leto and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, among others, put more than US$50 million into the site. It turned out to be the investment of a lifetime, as in August 2021 The Verge reported that Reddit was worth more than US$10 billion.

Cannabis line creator -

 In 2015, he teamed up with Canadian cannabis company Canopy to create his exclusive line of cannabis flower products called Leafs by Snoop. Before even Willie Nelson, Snoop became the first major celebrity to brand and market a line of legal marijuana products.

Snoop co-founded the investment firm Casa Verde Capital with Evan Eneman in 2015. Their focus from the start has been investing in cannabis start-ups.

Around 2014 was the first time Snoop mentioned he was trying veganism, and he has shown an interest in it repeatedly over the years. In October 2018, Snoop released 'From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen,' which had 50 recipes inspired by his family's staple comfort foods. It was co-authored with Ryan Ford and featured a foreword by Martha Stewart.

Looking at his IMDb page, Snoop has quite a lot of experience in film and television. Some of his more notable roles include 'The Wash' with Dr. Dre, and 'Mac and Devlin Go to High School' with rapper Wiz Khalifa. Most recently, he stars in 50 Cent's TV series 'BMF.'

ESports league founder -

In 2019, Snoop grew savvy to the booming esports industry and decided to venture into the video game business himself, creating his own league known as the Gangsta Gaming League. The inaugural team was reportedly comprised of Snoop Dogg's closest gamer friends, and they all battled for the title of “Top Dogg,” and a piece of an US$11,000 prize pool.

How could the 'Gin and Juice' rapper not come out with his own gin? In 2020, Snoop debuted a liquor line called Indoggo Gin, which according to the website is “the ultimate remix of seven premium botanicals flavored with all-natural strawberry flavor.”

Executive at Def Jam -

In June 2021, Snoop joined Def Jam Records as its new Executive Creative and Strategic Consultant, which allows him to work across both executive and artistic platforms to "help the artists and give them love and wisdom and guidance and understanding, teach them some tricks that I learned in the game—to diversify their portfolios to be superstars,” said the rapper.

Medical marijuana investor -

Snoop, through Casa Verde, backed a medical cannabis company called Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies, which began trading on the London Stock Exchange in May 2021.

Hot dogs on the way -

In early 2022, The Blast reported that Snoop took legal action to trademark his own brand of hot dogs, which is unsurprisingly called “Snoop Doggs.” His legal team explained that he plans to use it to sell hot dogs, various types of sausage, and other products—no word yet if they'll be vegan.

Food company founder -

Snoop joined forces with fellow rapper Percy "Master P" Miller to found the food company Broadus Foods, which aims to "continue Mama Snoop's legacy of her generous love and passion for feeding families in our communities,” and pairs their high-quality products with a charitable initiative to help feed the homeless and families in need. They quickly became famous for their breakfast foods like oatmeal, pancake mix, grits, and syrup.

Snoop Doggie Doggs -

Snoop released his most predictable and unpredictable venture on November 17, 2022: a pet line called Snoop Doggie Doggs. According to People, the line is available on Amazon and includes apparel like hoodies, pajamas, jerseys, and baseball hats with Snoop's signature braids attached, as well as toys, accessories, and bowls for both dogs and cats, all of which were designed by Snoop in partnership with Little Earth Productions, Inc. 

"If my dogs ain't fresh, I ain't fresh. These dogs and their apparel are a reflection of Tha Dogg himself, so they gotta look the role of a Top Dog, ya dig?!?!" Snoop said in a statement for the line's launch, which also includes leashes, collars, and harnesses. A highlight of the line is certainly a plush toy resembling a boombox that blasts, "Bow Wow Wow, Yippie Yo, Yippie Yay" when bitten in the right spot.
