In response to people criticizing model Sumner Stroh for coming out about her alleged affair with Adam Levine in 2022, Ratajkowski said on TikTok: "I don't understand why we continue to blame women for men's mistakes, especially when you're talking about 20-something-year-old women dealing with men in positions of power who are twice their age," adding that it's "predatory" and "manipulative." She continued, "Also, if you're the one in a relationship, you're the one who's obligated to be loyal. So the whole other-woman-there-to-blame, that's bad and it's literally designed to keep women apart." Stroh claimed that she and Levine, who is married to Behati Prinsloo, had carried on an affair for a year. Levine admitted he had communicated with her in a flirtatious manner but denied any physical cheating.

In Part 2 of her comments, Ratajkowski argued that the way we look at cheating is sexist, as men get written off as "monsters" instead of being held accountable, meanwhile we blame other women and "ask women to adjust their behavior." She captioned the video, "maybe we just hold men accountable instead of just accepting them as terrible, asking them to do 0 work, and then blaming other women?"

Nick Viall -

'The Bachelor' alum also weighed in on the cheating allegations against Levine. Viall shared a video on Instagram with the caption "Emotionally cheating is still cheating Adam." He also said the only victim in the situation is Behati Prinsloo, Levine's pregnant wife, and added that even though Levine is the one responsible for protecting his own relationship, Sumner Stroh's "reveal" was extremely inconsiderate towards Behati's well-being.

Robert Pattinson -

Robert Pattinson seemed much more laid-back about being cheated on by his ex-girlfriend and former co-star Kristin Stewart. To quote him, "[ ] happens, you know? It's just young people ... it's normal! And, honestly, who gives a [ ]? The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can't predict."

Kristen Stewart -

Kristen Stewart, however, shared immense remorse after she was caught cheating on Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders, and she issued a public apology in 2012 to show it. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Kristen Stewart -

Interestingly, years later, Stewart gained a new perspective on how her cheating scandal was handled. Speaking with Howard Stern, she called out the "[ ]-shaming" she faced afterward (including losing the role in the 'Snow White' sequel), which was much harsher than the backlash Sanders received, despite the fact that she was much younger than him and he was actually married with two kids.

Alanis Morissette thinks you oughta know that cheating is an absolute no-no. "Infidelity is a deal breaker for me. I've broken up with people over it," she said, as per Marie Claire. "You can't do monogamy 90 percent of the time."

Meg Ryan -

The media blamed Meg Ryan's affair with Russell Crowe for the reason she and Dennis Quaid split in 2000, but the actress found out Quaid had been unfaithful for much of their marriage. "My time as a scarlet woman was really interesting," she told InStyle. "As painful as it was, it was also incredibly liberating. I didn't have to care about what people thought."

Speaking with Oprah about the end of his first marriage with Tameka Foster, Usher said he was lost and he wanted out. "I was faithful at heart, but not faithful all the way. Even having a conversation with another woman, period, about matters of your relationship or emotions is, in my opinion, not being faithful," he told Oprah.

In her memoir 'Open Book,' Simpson wrote about having an "emotional affair" with Johnny Knoxville while married to Nick Lachey. "To me, an emotional affair was worse than a physical one," she wrote, explaining that she had placed such an emphasis prior to marriage on sex because she had abstained, but "after I actually had sex, I understood that the emotional part was what mattered. And Johnny and I had that, which seemed far more of a betrayal to my marriage than sex."

Jennifer Lopez once spoke publicly about what is required to move on after being cheated on. She commented, "I think it's about realizing it's not about you. When someone cheats on you, it's about them...about their shortcomings. It makes it feel like it's about our shortcomings [...] but the truth is, it's really their ego and what they need to fill within themselves."

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's relationship began when they cheated on their respective spouses, so when McDermott later cheated on Spelling, she had to acknowledge the irony. "Maybe I have a hard time with that part [blaming the other woman] because that's how I met Dean," she said on her show. "So now that this has happened to me, I know a lot of people are like, 'Well, karma's a [ ].'" Spelling and McDermott survived that 2013 incident but announced their separation in 2023.

After defending her then-husband from cheating allegations only to find out they were true, Halle Berry became a little wiser. "I've learned that when I see a flag in a relationship next time, recognize it as a flag," she told Oprah. "Don't think, 'Oh, that's just a shadow.' That's a flag."

After a highly publicized cheating scandal with her then-husband, Jesse James, while they were going through the process of adopting a child, Bullock found herself a single mother, but with no regrets. "You can't go backward," she told Vogue. "I'm not going backward."

James, on the other hand, didn't seem to express much regret and instead claimed that cheating was just commonplace. "Yeah, I did cheat on my wife. Yeah, I stood up and took accountability for it and apologized. And that's end of story [...] In general, both women and men cheat. It's part of life," he told the Daily Mail.

As someone who cheated, Jay-Z opened up to The New York Times about the emotional walls he'd put up due to his childhood issues, which led to his infidelity. "The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone's face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself," he said, adding that therapy helped him find the root of the problem. "You know, most people walk away, and, like, divorce rate is like 50% or something 'cause most people can't see themselves."

One of the celebrities to stick with a cheating partner, Beyoncé wrote of her "betrayals and heartbreaks" in an essay for Vogue: "There are many shades on every journey. Nothing is black or white. I've been through hell and back, and I'm grateful for every scar." She added that though she was left feeling "neglected, lost, and vulnerable," she learned to "laugh and cry and grow."

No stranger to an infidelity scandal herself, Eva Longoria said in an interview on Lifetime, "Society usually thinks there's something wrong with the woman: 'Oh, he cheated on her, so she must not have been sexually satisfying him. She must have been a ball and chain!' Why did he have to have a reason to cheat that had to do with me?"

The TV presenter's late husband was set up by a tabloid that paid a flight attendant to seduce him for a story. Before the truth came out, however, Gifford said, "It was absolutely devastating. Nobody knows what I went through. You feel hopeless and you don't want to live anymore," she wrote in her memoir. She added, "If this had been chronic behavior from Frank, I would have divorced him like that. ... It was the right thing for my life to forgive my husband. And then work at forgetting."
