A quarter century after bringing ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ to life, Taylor Momsen and Jim Carrey reunited for the first time since filming the 2000 holiday classic. The moment took place at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on November 8, where Momsen shared her fondest memories of working alongside the comedian who played the infamous green grump from Whoville.

Momsen, who was just five years old when she portrayed Cindy-Lou Who, recalled how Carrey was both “protective” and “kind” throughout the shoot—even under layers of makeup and yak fur. “Watching an artist at work and taking their craft so seriously, that left a really powerful, lasting impact,” she said. Despite not recognizing Carrey beneath his costume at the time, the young actress never felt intimidated by his character.

Their reunion reminded fans of the bonds often formed between adult stars and their young co-stars on set—though in this case, the pair hadn’t seen each other for decades. While these two lost touch until recently, the following co-stars have kept up their connection long after filming wrapped.
