Queen Camilla was present during Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex’s long-awaited reunion with King Charles III at Highgrove House on July 10, Buckingham Palace confirmed.
The private meeting, which also included Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, marked the King's first meeting with his California-based grandchildren in four years.
According to royal author Catherine Mayer, Camilla’s attendance reflected her central role in the monarch’s life. “She is a non-negotiable part of Charles’ life,” Mayer told People, adding that “there is no reconciliation with him without her.”
Harry previously described his complicated relationship with his stepmother in his 2023 memoir, 'Spare,' reflecting on the family's history following Charles' marriage to Camilla in 2005.
