A-ha front man Morten Harket, 65, has disclosed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis. The condition has impacted his vocal abilities, making singing currently unfeasible. Despite undergoing deep brain stimulation surgeries that alleviated some symptoms, Harket faces ongoing challenges.

Harket made the revelations in an interview published on the band's site on June 4, and emphasized his identity beyond music and encouraged fans to focus on broader global issues, expressing relief in sharing his condition publicly.Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative condition that leads to various neurological and mobility-related symptoms. Caused by the loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain, the initial symptoms may be so mild that they often go unnoticed for a long time. But then, when the disorder worsens, they become drastically more noticeable.
