Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have taken extra steps to protect their privacy at their new Ohio mansion. The property is equipped with a warning alarm that issues a voice message when someone gets too close. A nearby neighbor reportedly triggered the system and was warned not to enter the property.
Kelce bought the 1,950.96 m² (21,000 sq ft) lakefront home in Bratenahl for U$5.35 million in March. The eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom property includes a game room, a theater, and is located a short stretch from where the NFL star grew up.
The secluded lakefront community already has a police presence, with regular patrols. “It does have a small police force that gauge and patrol the village on a regular basis,” Patricia Knight Gary, a local real estate agent, told Page Six. “And then even at the condos [down the street], there is 24-hour security, so I would anticipate that there might be some discussion in terms of increasing that.”
Indeed, while being an A-lister has its advantages, fame can also mean giving up some privacy to stay safe. From bodyguards and guarded homes to armored vehicles, private travel, monitoring systems, and full-time security teams, protecting celebrities and their families can come at a high price. Curious?
