Tim Allen's comedic life on stage and in film and TV
The comedian turns 70 this June 13

To millions, he'll always be known as Tim "The Toolman" Taylor. But there are many other faces to actor and comedian Tim Allen. While the hit TV sitcom 'Home Improvement' certainly cemented his reputation as one of America's favorite funny guys, Allen also delivered an equally famous role as Santa Claus in a series of well-received Christmas-themed movies, and is celebrated as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the hugely successful 'Toy Story' franchise. But it hasn't always been smiles and laughter. An infamous brush with the law early in his career saw Allen entertain jail time, and his big-screen appearances haven't always been met with chuckles and cheer. A master of stand-up, however, he remains one of the kings of comedy, and after some 45 years in the industry he is still making us laugh. So, what's so amusing about Tim Allen?
