Kate Middleton appeared to acknowledge anti-monarchy protesters as they booed members of the royal family during Trooping the Colour in London on June 13. The Princess of Wales attended King Charles III’s official birthday parade alongside Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

According to footage shared by The Sun, demonstrators from the campaign group Republic shouted and displayed signs reading “Not My King” and “Down with the Crown” as the royal carriage passed. As the moment unfolded, Kate appeared to give the protesters a look, while the jeers also caught the attention of George, Charlotte, and Louis. Regardless of the disruption, the family remained composed and continued greeting spectators along the route.

Republic said the protest was intended to raise questions about the monarchy and the controversy surrounding Andrew. Despite occasional demonstrations, Trooping the Colour remains one of the most significant events in the royal calendar.

Indeed, despite the challenges of royal life, Catherine has evolved from a university student and the future king's girlfriend into one of the monarchy's most popular figures, balancing her roles as a wife, mother, and future Queen Consort. Take a look at this gallery to revisit key moments in the life of Catherine, Princess of Wales.
