Rebel Wilson and Sacha Baron Cohen
- Rebel Wilson has been hinting for a while that she he has major beef with a former co-star, and would be revealing all in her memoir 'Rebel Rising.' The actress previously stated on social media that a “massive a**hole” she once worked with had hired a crisis PR team and started threatening her after she claimed she would dedicate a chapter to unveiling his terrible behavior in her book. On March 25, she finally named the actor in question. “I will not be bullied or silenced with high priced lawyer or PR crisis managers. The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.” Wilson played Baron Cohen's wife in his 2016 comedy 'The Brothers Grimsby,' which Baron Cohen wrote, produced, and starred in. Wilson claims that he repeatedly pressured her to do naked scenes and other acts that made her uncomfortable. In a 2014 radio interview, Wilson described the type of interactions they had on set. “Every day he’s like, ‘Just go naked, it will be funny. Remember in ‘Borat’ when I did that naked scene? It was hilarious,’” Wilson says she was pushed to the point of threatening to call their shared agent and report him for harassment. “On the last day, I thought I’d obviously won the argument, and he got a body double to do the naked scene.” However, he allegedly tried to add unscripted elements to their final scene together that made her comfortable. The 'Borat' star denied the allegations in a statement delivered by a spokesperson: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of ‘The Brothers Grimsby.’” Wilson's book was released in the US in April. In the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, allegations against the actor were blacked out due to differences in defamation laws in those countries.

Anderson revealed in an interview with Parade magazine that a joke he made years ago actually offended Ross and caused a decade of strained relations between them. "We laugh about this now, but Tracee didn't like me for maybe 10 years!" he said. "We hosted the Vibe Awards [in 2005]. As we were walking onto the stage there was a loud sound over the speaker, and I said, 'Tracee? Did you fart?' The audience loved it, but what I did not know is how offended Tracee was by that comment." He admitted, "She really didn't start liking me until we were midway through the first season of 'Black-ish.'" Fortunately their relationship is completely repaired and stronger than ever. "But today, there's nothing that I would not do for Tracee," Anderson added.

Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson
- Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's feud over the course of several 'Fast and Furious' films has been widely publicized, across the press and over their personal social media accounts. But Diesel has since taken accountability for their infamous tension. Speaking to Men’s Health, the actor and producer said his "tough love" method in trying to get a good performance out of Johnson became their source of bitterness. "It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character," Diesel said. "My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be. As a producer to say, 'Okay, we're going to take Dwayne Johnson, who's associated with wrestling, and we're going to force this cinematic world, audience members, to regard his character as someone that they don't know."

- Of course, Diesel seems to overlook that Johnson already had a lot of acting know-how. However, he insisted it was vital for the movie's creative vision. "Hobbs hits you like a ton of bricks. That's something that I'm proud of, that aesthetic. That took a lot of work," he continued. "We had to get there and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love. Not Felliniesque, but I would do anything I'd have to do in order to get performances in anything I'm producing." After 'Furious 7,' Johnson departed from the main franchise to focus on the spin-off 'Hobbs and Shaw.' However, despite their ongoing feud, the actors have shared subsequent screentime again in 'F9' (2021) and 'Fast and Furious 10' (2023).

McGowan further accused Milano of appropriating the #MeToo Movement "for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist." "I have much more substantial subject matter that I want to get publicity for, so I'm not going to refer to [Shatner] in this interview at all. Although I just did. Cattrall had previously expressed her firm decision not to return, disappointing many fans. However, she made a brief cameo in season 2, episode 11. Sarah Jessica Parker, when asked by Variety about the possibility of Cattrall rejoining the show in a larger role, responded, "I don't think I would, because I think there's just too much public history of feelings on her part that she's shared. I haven't participated in or read articles, although people are inclined to let me know."

Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba
- During an interview on the podcast 'Inside of You,' Jensen Ackles shared some details about his experience working with Jessica Alba on the Sci-Fi series 'Dark Angel' in 2000. Ackles mentioned that, despite both actors being young and new to the industry, Alba was more experienced and took on the lead role, while he was the new kid on the block. He recalled the immense pressure Alba was under and the added tension on set due to her rocky relationship with one of her co-stars.

- According to Ackles, Alba seemed to become a bully towards him as soon as he joined the show. He described their dynamic thus: "I was the new kid on the block, and I got picked on by the lead. Like the worst kind of bickering a brother and sister could do. She had it out for me. It wasn't that she didn't like me. She just was like, 'Oh, here's the pretty boy that network brought in for some more window dressing because that's what we all need.'"

Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross
- According to Anthony Anderson, his relationship with Tracee Ellis Ross wasn't always as strong as it appeared on screen.

Alexa Nikolas and Jamie Lynn Spears
- Alexa Nikolas took to Instagram to express her thoughts on Jamie Lynn Spears' new memoir, 'Things I Should Have Said,' alleging that Spears was "lying up a storm," calling Spears a "bully," and claiming "nothing that she said in her book about me actually happened." Nikolas famously left the 'Nickelodeon' show after the second season, and in the years following alleged that one of the reasons was because she'd been bullied by Spears.

- A day later, Nikolas again posted on Instagram, this time sharing a photo of herself in tears to illustrate "what lying and bullying continues to do to others." She explained further. "One minute you are able to laugh it off and then the next moment you are crying endlessly about it. Especially as you keep getting triggered by more hurtful words revealed about you from the person who wounded you deeply as a child." Nikolas added: "Healing is never linear. Even though you pray for it to be nightly. It's hard. Really hard. Reading more cruel lies tonight really broke me down. It's not fair."

"I wish I was on Twitter in 2007, because I will NEVER stop exercising my free speech," he said.

- In 2021, it was revealed that Patrick Dempsey had become hard to work with, resulting in an unfavorable work environment. Another actor on 'Grey's Anatomy,' Isaiah Washington, recently made a surprising allegation, suggesting that Ellen Pompeo was given a sum of money by the producers to remain silent about Dempsey's conduct. During a podcast interview with Tavis Smiley, Washington asserted that she "took US$5 million under the table" during the height of the #MeToo Movement "to not tell the world how toxic and nasty Patrick Dempsey really was."

Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan
- The Twitter clash between former 'Charmed' co-stars Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan initially stemmed from political differences, but soon escalated into a bitter revisiting of an old feud. It all started on August 21, 2020, when Milano expressed her support for the Democratic Party, prompting McGowan to criticize her for promoting white-centered feminism. McGowan further accused Milano of appropriating the #MeToo Movement "for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist." She then claimed Milano threw tantrums on the set of 'Charmed', adding: "I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF."

- McGowan followed her criticism by sharing a clip from a 2018 interview in which she expressed her dislike for Milano, stating: "Because I think she's a lie." Milano responded with a sarcastic post on social media and later released a statement to E! News saying, "Hurt people hurt people. Commenting any further doesn't align with my wellness plan." The possibility of a 'Charmed' reboot seems unlikely at this point.

George Takei and William Shatner
- Years after they've stopped filming together, George Takei still has some choice words for his former 'Star Trek' co-star, William Shatner. In a 2022 interview with the UK's The Guardian, Takei, who starred as Sulu opposite Shatner's Captain Kirk, said there were healthy relationships among cast members, "except for one, who was a prima donna." The actor appeared to be alluding to Shatner, whom he later addressed more explicitly when he asked if any of the cast got along with Shatner. "No, none of us," Takei replied.

- Earlier Shatner had called out his former co-stars in an interview with the UK's Times newspaper for using slander against him as publicity for themselves. "George has never stopped blackening my name," Shatner said. Well, Takei responded in his Guardian interview and said he decided he doesn't need Shatner's name. "I have much more substantial subject matter that I want to get publicity for, so I'm not going to refer to [Shatner] in this interview at all. Although I just did. He's just a cantankerous old man and I'm going to leave him to his devices. I'm not going to play his game," Takei concluded.

Co-stars who hate each other
When acting isn't enough to hide their differences
© Getty Images
It's often assumed that on-screen chemistry between characters translates to a real-life connection between actors. However, this is not always the case. Whether the relationship is doomed from the beginning or the extensive time spent together on set eventually drives them apart, it is surprisingly common for co-stars to develop a hatred towards each other.
