Queen Camilla supposedly had serious doubts about Catherine, Princess of Wales marrying Prince William, this according to royal biographer Christopher Andersen’s book ‘Kate!: The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen,’ released on May 7. The author claims Camilla believed Kate lacked the aristocratic background expected of a future queen and viewed her family as too “common” for the monarchy.
Before William and Kate married in 2011, Camilla allegedly questioned the intentions of Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, despite other royals reportedly embracing the Middleton family. Andersen described Camilla as one of Kate’s “fiercest critics” during the early years of the couple’s relationship.
