Taylor Swift is gearing up for the release of her new album 'The Life of a Showgirl,’ out October 3, with a major multimedia celebration. The singer announced an 89-minute cinematic event, 'Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,' which will run in theaters from release day through October 5.
The film will include lyric videos, behind-the-scenes footage, and feature what Swift calls her “never-before-seen personal reflections” on the songs. It follows the success of her Eras Tour concert film, which shattered box office records.
In addition to the big-screen takeover, Swift will also be hitting the radio with her own round-the-clock station. SiriusXM has launched Taylor’s Channel 13, which began airing September 20 and will run until October 19. The station will feature music from every era of Swift’s career, playing nonstop for US fans, and will broadcast the new album in full and without interruption once every two hours after its release.
For years, Taylor Swift has been breaking records in the music industry and winning awards for her singing and songwriting talents. One of the world's best-selling musicians, T-Swift has sold over 200 million records, and her Eras Tour made her the artist with the highest-grossing tour of all time.
