Brad Pitt recently won another key court victory in his long-running legal fight with former-wife Angelina Jolie.
Judge Lia Martin of the Los Angeles Superior Court granted Pitt’s motion to compel Jolie to produce unredacted communications about legal strategy. The decision came over a month after an October 29, 2025 filing by Pitt's lawyers in which they submitted evidence backing their request for Jolie’s emails and other communications. Legal experts say the previously undisclosed documents, including private text messages, could be crucial to the case’s outcome.
Pitt first sued Jolie in 2022 after she sold her stake in Château Miraval to a subsidiary of the Stoli Group. Jolie had moved to sell her company, Nouvel, in 2021, effectively transferring her 50% ownership of the winery. Pitt has contested the sale, arguing it breached an agreement between them.
