Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida Parton, has pushed back against reports of a family dispute, insisting there is “no feud within our family” following the reported filing of a restraining order against Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver.
In a social media post shared on September 23, Freida wrote, “No one among the Parton/Owens family is fighting over Dolly’s estate.” She added, “We all love Bryan, just as we all love each other,” before concluding, “I love you all!!”
Her comments come as tensions reportedly intensify between Seaver, who previously served as the Grammy winner’s head of security, and Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell.
According to TMZ, Nozell filed for a temporary restraining order against Seaver accusing him of threatening Nozell before Parton’s death and attempting to extort money from him. If granted, the order would bar Seaver from coming within 1,000 feet (305 meters) of Parton’s Nashville offices and prevent him from involving himself in her business affairs.
The outlet reported that Nozell accused Seaver of “invoking his self-proclaimed military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence” in an effort to obtain funds.
