Diane Keaton, the beloved actress and one of Hollywood’s most enduring icons, has died at 79. Keaton’s death was confirmed on October 11 by producer Dori Rath, who had recently worked with her. The cause of death has not been disclosed. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department told CNN that paramedics responded to a medical call at her home on October 11 and transported her to a hospital.

Keaton rose to prominence in the 1970s with her portrayal of Kay Adams in 'The Godfather' films before earning an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Woody Allen’s 'Annie Hall' (1977). Over a career spanning five decades, she starred in beloved films such as 'Father of the Bride' (1991), 'The First Wives Club' (1996), and 'Something’s Gotta Give' (2003), earning acclaim for her blend of humor, vulnerability, and charm.
