Known for iconic roles in films like 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' (1969) and 'All the President’s Men' (1976), he also directed notable works including 'Ordinary People' (1980) and 'A River Runs Through It' (1992).
Redford founded the Sundance Institute to champion independent film, and lived in Utah, where he devoted himself to conservation. He died in his sleep at his home in Provo, Utah.
