The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious international film festivals of the year. Held annually in Cannes, France, it showcases new films from around the world, and the 78th edition is currently taking place from May 13 to May 24.
However, just 24 hours before the launch of this season's first red carpet event, new rules were implemented as to the dress code. An official document released on May 12 stated that, “For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet [as well as] voluminous outfits, in particular those with a large train, that hinder the … flow of … guests and complicate seating.”
