Kim Kardashian has addressed the controversy over deleted photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party posts on Instagram.

Appearing on her sister Khloé’s podcast, 'Khloé in Wonderland,' she said removing the images was meant to respect Remembrance Day, not create drama, and emphasized her family’s friendship with Markle.

Kim Kardashian explained that the images were removed to respect Remembrance Day, the annual November holiday honoring armed forces members who died in service, during which British royals traditionally participate in memorial events. Jenner’s party was held on the night before the royals attended the Cenotaph for the annual service in London. Kardashian called the situation “innocent” and expressed frustration at how it was perceived online.

The spotlight on Meghan and Harry has always been intense. The couple met on a blind date in 2016, and just two years later the world watched as a Hollywood star and a party-boy prince became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Immediately, their love story captured global attention, but media scrutiny and backlash eventually led the pair to step down from their royal duties and carve out a new life in California with projects and family commitments.

However, the British tabloids haven’t let them go quietly. Prince Harry has been involved in a seven-year legal battle against major UK media groups, who continue to target him and make his wife’s life “a misery.”

As the final trial plays out, let’s look back at a timeline of their love story and legal challenges.
