Harrison Ford is returning to one of his most iconic characters. The 84-year-old actor will reprise his role as Indiana Jones in 'Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent,' a new attraction coming to Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.
Ford announced the news in a prerecorded message played during the D23 convention in Anaheim on August 15.
“Soon it’ll be time for his next ride,” Ford said, adding that he is “the actual model of the Indiana Jones animatronic—fear of snakes included.”
Ford has portrayed the globe-trotting archaeologist across five films spanning more than four decades, beginning with 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' in 1981 and most recently appearing in 2023’s 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.'
Indeed, Harrison Ford is one of modern cinema's most recognized screen stars and one of the highest-grossing actors in the world. But away from the big screen, Ford is a passionate advocate for the environment and climate change. And in keeping with his action hero persona, the actor is also a qualified pilot!
