Biography

Kevin Federline is being sued over more than US$117,000 in debt to City National Bank, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.

The former backup dancer, 48, allegedly owes the bank across a credit card, a personal line of credit and an overdraft line. He signed the agreements in late November 2024, around the time of the final child support payment from Britney Spears, the “Toxic” singer.

Federline previously received $40,000 a month while raising the couple’s sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, in Hawaii. The amount later dropped to $20,000 after Sean Preston turned 18, and payments continued until Jayden graduated from high school.

The lawsuit says Federline had until August 2026 to repay the credit card balance. His personal line of credit was due in June 2025, while the overdraft line was due in April of the same year.

The case has once again drawn attention to Federline and Spears’ shared history. The two met in early 2004 and were engaged by July. They married in California that September, but Spears filed for divorce in November 2006, witch was finalized in July 2007. Their relationship was one chapter in a life that had already unfolded in the spotlight—and would continue to draw intense public attention.

Indeed, from chart-topping success to highly publicized personal struggles, Britney Spears’ life has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows.

Rising to global fame as a child pop sensation, she became one of the most influential artists of her generation. Yet behind the spotlight, Spears faced intense media scrutiny, personal setbacks, and a years-long legal battle over her conservatorship. Since winning back her autonomy in 2021, she has been struggling to get her life back on track, with several bumps along the way.
