World's Largest Pizza
- Fast food chain Pizza Hut recently won the Guinness Book of World Records title for the "World's Largest Pizza." A large team of employees joined forces at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2023 to create the biggest pizza the world has ever seen. It reportedly covered almost 14,000 square feet (1,300 square meters) and required literal tons of ingredients. The bill racked up 13,653 pounds (6,193 kg) of dough, 4,948 pounds (2,244 kg) of marinara sauce, 8,800 pounds (3,392 kg) of cheese, and finally, more than half a million pepperoni slices! They created a total of 68,000 slices of pizza which were donated to charity after the event. This isn't Pizza Hut's first world record. In 2016, they won the Guinness World Records title for the highest altitude pizza delivery on land when they delivered a pizza to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
