For over 70 years, the World Health Organization (WHO) has been promoting global health and keeping the world safe from some of the most dangerous and infectious diseases on the planet. It's currently coordinating the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, this is what the WHO does: strive to combat the very worst diseases, illnesses, and infections, and achieve the very highest standards of health for all.
