Julian Lennon has revealed that he has been diagnosed with coronary heart disease and pre-diabetes, urging fans to prioritize regular health checks.
The 63-year-old musician shared the update on Instagram on May 10, warning that people can have “hidden health issues” even if they exercise regularly and try to eat healthy. The son of late Beatles legend John Lennon said he was fortunate to be diagnosed with both conditions early enough to begin “reversing some of the damage.”
Coronary heart disease occurs when blood flow to the heart is reduced due to plaque buildup in the arteries, while pre-diabetes refers to blood sugar levels that are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be classified as diabetes.
Lennon thanked the doctors helping him through what he called a “new journey,” and encouraged followers to get checked “before you're checked out.” His message serves as a reminder that heart problems can develop gradually and without obvious symptoms.
