There are two types of people in this world: people who make their beds and people who don’t. Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed that he is the former in a recent interview promoting his new book, ‘Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life.’
The former California governor and actor recalled throwing mattresses off the balcony if his children left their beds unmade. “Don’t ever make someone come in and clean your room, clean your shower or make your bed,” he said. “Because I taught you how to make the bed.”
His son Patrick later confirmed the stories, joking that his father would also remove lightbulbs if lights were left on. For Schwarzenegger, discipline and order start first thing in the morning—a mindset he credits for shaping success in fitness, politics, and life.
