Joe Amabile, 40, has revealed that doctors recently discovered an early-stage brain tumor during a routine medical evaluation. 'The Bachelor' alum said the diagnosis came as a complete shock, having had no noticeable symptoms. He is expected to undergo surgery in two weeks and remains optimistic, thanking his wife, Serena Pitt, and his family and fans for their support as he begins treatment.
While Amabile's tumor was detected at an early stage, brain cancer is one of the deadliest forms of the disease. It is the sixth deadliest cancer in the United States, with a survival rate of only 33.8%. Fortunately, not all brain tumors are malignant, and if a tumor is cancerous, early detection can significantly improve treatment outcomes. However, all brain tumors are potentially dangerous because of their size and location.
