Neurofibromatosis is one of these little-understood conditions. Characterized by tumors, some benign and some not, growing near or over neurons and nerve endings, neurofibromatosis is a condition that needs to garner more attention if treatments are ever to improve in the fight against this often painful and debilitating illness.
