The Statista and Newsweek World’s Best Hospitals ranking is calculated based on several metrics, including the results of an online survey of thousands of medical professionals, as well as patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). The methodology used to rank the top hospitals in the world also takes into account hospital quality metrics and existing patient satisfaction data. In total, over 2,500 hospitals across 32 countries were considered.
