Frito-Lay has issued a voluntary recall of certain 8-ounce (227-gram) bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips after discovering they may contain an undeclared milk allergen. According to a March 4 alert from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), some bags may have been filled with jalapeño-flavored chips that contain milk, posing a risk to people with dairy allergies.

The recalled chips were sold in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas and may have been on store shelves as early as January 15. The affected products carry a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of April 21, 2026, along with specific manufacturing codes listed by the company.

Frito-Lay said the issue was identified after a consumer reported the problem, and no allergic reactions had been reported as of the recall announcement. Such food recalls highlight how labeling errors can pose serious health risks for some consumers.
