There are over 55 million people around the world living with Alzheimer’s disease, and this number continues to grow. By 2030, the global number is set to reach 78 million; by 2050, 139 million. The majority of people diagnosed with the disease are over the age of 65, but rare cases of early-onset Alzheimer’s do occur. The youngest case recorded is of a 19-year-old.
