President Donald Trump visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center last May for a medical and dental checkup, marking his third in-person medical evaluation since beginning his second term. The visit follows two previous trips to Walter Reed last year, in April and October, along with two dental appointments in Florida earlier this year.
Trump, who turned 80 in June and is the oldest person ever elected president, has repeatedly insisted he is in excellent health despite ongoing public speculation. Questions surrounding his health have intensified following visible bruising on his hand and moments of apparent drowsiness during public appearances.
Last year, the president revealed he had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) after being examined for mild swelling in his legs. CVI is a common condition that affects blood flow in the veins and impacts millions of people worldwide.
