Wuthering Heights’ was written by Emily Brontë and published in 1847. Set in the brooding Yorkshire moors in the North of the UK, it was Brontë’s only work of fiction and faced intense criticism in her lifetime.

After her death, however, the book became a revered piece of literature and has since been adapted countless times for film, TV, stage, and song. It has won Oscars, been studied at universities, topped charts, and inspired generations of authors.
