Artemis II marked humanity’s return to the Moon’s neighborhood when it performed a flyby mission in early April 2026. The mission carried NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Jeremy Hansen, on Orion’s first crewed lunar flight.
During the nearly 10-day journey around the Moon and back, the crew looked homeward at a glowing, fragile Earth, studied the Moon’s far side, photographed craters, shadows, Earthset, and eclipse views, and helped gather science data that will guide future Artemis missions.
Their images have now been released to the public, and they are truly a sight to behold. Intrigued? Click on.
