The Georgian era in Great Britain was a period of immense political and social change. Indeed, it saw the nation establish itself as a global power at the center of a rapidly expanding empire.

Effectively launched by the Industrial Revolution, the era, which spanned a little over a century, from 1714 to 1837, was characterized by astonishing advances across all aspects of British life, a cultural explosion that defined modern literature, architecture, and scientific thought. But why is it described as the Georgian era, and who were the individuals that shaped its evolution?
