The world is full of some astonishing boundaries that truly defy expectations, but few are as impactful as the Dingo Fence. Stretching across a massive distance of the Australian outback, the Dingo Fence is one of the most extraordinary pieces of rural infrastructure ever built.
The fence, which is more than 140 years old, was originally pieced together from older livestock and rabbit fences, but has since grown to stretch across much of south Australia. It has influenced a lot since then, and has even created ecological differences that are visible from space.
