The fountains reached heights of 150 to 165 feet (45 to 60 meters) and were projected to increase further. This marked the 12th episode of the ongoing eruption, which began on December 23, 2024, within a crater at Kilauea’s summit in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island.
