On May 25, Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, erupted, with the lava fountains reaching up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) in some of the volcano's areas. This event marked the volcano's 23rd episode of eruption since December 2024.
