Aussie highland hike -

Cradle Mountain (pictured) is found in Tasmania's Central Highlands region. It's 1,545 metres above sea level, made of dolerite subvolcanic rock, and the fifth highest mountain on the island state.

Tasmania's largest high ground -

In the heart of the Tasmanian island lies Central Plateau Conservation Area, which is also the biggest area of high ground in the whole island state. 

The area focuses on the preservation and conservation of animals and plants native of the area.

South Australia's most instagramed location -

Second Valley, in South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, is the coastal township with great scuba diving and snorkelling opportunities.

Second Valley gets its name for literally being the next valley after Rapid Bay, which was Colonel William Light's first camp in SA.

Light was the British naval and appointed Surveyor-General of SA in 1836. He's also the one responsible for choosing Adelaide as the state's capital.

Stairs to the sea -

Diamond Bay Reserve, found in Vaucluse (eastern Sydney), boasts dramatic cliff coastline. The cliffs are layered and have stairs, which allow for visitors to get down and close to the water. 

Aside from steep cliffside, Diamond Bay Reserve also boasts of green spaces and fenced walkways above the cliffs, that are ideal to walk your pets or stroll with the family.

Layers into the sea -

Another perspective of Diamond Bay Reserve's many levels and stairs that lead into the sea. 

If you're looking for a day road trip to the water, this green space and its dramatic cliffs are a short distance away from Sydney's CBD.

Connecting suburbs -

For many Sydneysiders, the Anzac Bridge if part of the daily commute. For those travelling to the New South Wales capital from further away, it's a sight worth seeing (and driving through). 

The cable-stayed bridge has 8 lanes, is found close to Sydney's CBD, and connects the inner suburbs of Pyrmont and Rozelle.

Coastline driving -

The Grand Pacific Drive is a 140 km long road begins south of Sydney, in the Royal National Park, and goes past the Sea Cliff Bridge (pictured) and through various coastal towns. These include Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama, and Shoalhaven.

Water on water -

Bondi Icebergs is a swimming club found near Sydney's Bondi Beach, that has pools hovering over the sea. 

Visit Bondi Icebergs to get showered by waves as you safely swim in a secured swimming pool. Also, there's a restaurant and cafe on sight, making it a perfect day out for swimming aficionados.

Waterfall stop -

Many opt to road trip to the world famous Byron Bay, and we don't blame you! 

Roughly 3 km east from Byron Bay is Cape Byron and its walking track—which leads to waterfalls like this one. Worth the drive and trek.

Where blue skies meet Blue Mountains -

the Greater Blue Mountains Drive is a scenic route of trails and drives through the majestic Blue Mountains National Park.

It's located west from the Sydney and homes the famous Echo Point lookout with views of the acclaimed Three Sisters sandstone formation.

Great ocean adventure -

What is not visible in the image is the cliff drop into sea that the trekker is facing.

The Great Ocean Walk (pictured) is the hiking version of the famous Great Ocean Road. You will need a car for either option, which makes it a great road trip opportunity.

Port city seaside -

Leighton Beach is a dog-friendly surfing beach in Freemantle, Western Australia.

It's a common beach for those living on the south side of Swan River (which runs all the way through to Perth), yet a less common beach among tourists.

Outback island adventure -

Francois Peron National Park is not an island per se, but a peninsula found in Western Australia. It's bright red dirt sand and crystal blue waters make it a unique destination where you can get dusty and clean all in one place.

The sandy beaches are a dream cruise drive for anybody who owns a 4-wheel drive.

Victoria's Redwood Forest -

East Warburton is home to Redwood Forest, which houses various round shaped nest that are formed with people arching branches and them naturally overgrowing into natural rounded shapes.

The area has an endless number of coast redwood trees, that are lined up to almost perfection from one another (noticeable also when you look up, as pictured).

Gold Coast's coastal suburb -

The suburb of Burleigh Heads in the City of Gold Coast boasts great surf conditions.

It's located just between Surfers Paradise in the north and Coolangatta in the south, and surrounded by the gorgeous and green Burleigh Heads National Park.

If you're an avid surfer, or simply a Gold Coast lover, attached your surfboard and off you drive... to Burleigh Heads!

A pool by the beach -

Next to Sydney's Bronte Beach lies the beautiful Bronte Pool which overflows into the sea. So if you're travelling with folk who dislike the beach or love a pool, or vice-versa, this is the place where you should road trip to next.

The salt water rock pool is a great spot for lap swimmers and as well as the average swimmer. Fancy a dip?

The Sydney Opera House, or the New South Wales capital in general, may not be the first road trip spots that come to mind.

The Twelve Apostles, found in the Port Campbell National Park along the Great Ocean Road, belong to the locality of Princetown, Victoria.

And despite there being only seven limestone stacks left, the Twelve Apostles are still a very popular tourist attraction.

Wilsons Promontory National Park, a.k.a The Prom or Wilsons Prom, is under 3 hours drive from Melbourne. 

Granite mountains, roos and wombats, and white sand beaches are just a few of the views you'll be able to experience and enjoy at the park.

Coastal suburban drive -

Although this picture of a moody sea could be of multiple shores down under, this specific one is of Watermans Bay, a coastal suburb in Perth. 

What's different about this bay, do you ask? Most part of the beaches are surrounded by 20 m high bluffs (which are rounded cliffs).

If you're an Aussie and a surfer, you may have dreamt or thought about heading to Bondi Beach to surf at least once before. Right?

There are countless stunning beaches down under where to surf until sundown, but not many as acclaimed and beloved as Bondi Beach.

A colourful retro van parked just short of the Manly beach shore. 

Manly Beach is one of Sydney's popular Northern Beaches and a surfer's haven. The beach is divided into three main sections known as  Queenscliff, North Steyne, and South Steyne.
