'Bird Box' Challenge - Imitating the characters from the movie 'Bird Box,' people have taken to doing their daily tasks blindfolded, some people even going as far as to drive this way. Numerous accidents have happened already, provoking Netflix to issue a warning against the dangerous challenge.

Keke/'In My Feelings' Challenge - Inspired by Drake's 'In My Feelings,' this dance challenge requires participants to step out of a moving car. This has already led to several car accidents and injuries.

Cinnamon challenge - The cinnamon challenge, involving swallowing a spoonful of the spice, was another internet sensation. It can lead to difficulty breathing, choking, or even a collapsed lung.

Ghost pepper challenge - This fad involves filming yourself for social media while eating this pepper, which is 400 times hotter than Tabasco. It is so spicy that it can cause seizures or even a heart attack!

Fire challenge - Essentially, this requires one to douse themselves in flammable liquid and set themselves on fire. Footage of the dare is then shared on social media sites, and it has resulted in severe burns. Recently a 12-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital for burns on 49% of her body.

Banana-Sprite challenge - In this challenge, participants are dared to quickly consume two or three bananas, and a liter of Sprite without throwing up. The viral game can lead to choking and of course vomiting, as the stomach can only hold so much food and liquid at a time.

Gallon challenge - In a similar trendy online challenge, players are encouraged to chug a US gallon of milk without puking.

Gallon smashing - Another ridiculous dare involving milk. This was a prank that started online, in which a person pretends to fall at a grocery store carrying milk gallons. The prank, which went viral, resulted in a few injuries after innocent bystanders slipped on the spilled milk.

Chubby Bunny - The Chubby Bunny challenge includes stuffing as many marshmallows into your mouth as possible, and can lead to choking and death.

Choking game - Also known as the fainting game, kids seeking to get high by choking themselves has resulted in the accidental death of several young children, reports Time.

Duct tape challenge - This challenge, which involves being bound up with the sticky stuff and then attempting to escape, almost resulted in the death of a young boy after he tipped over and slammed his head on the concrete floor.

Condom challenge - This gross viral online challenge required participants to snort a condom through to the back of the throat, and pull it out of the mouth! There is high risk of choking with this stunt.

Condom challenge #2 - Another internet challenge went viral involving a condom in 2015. This involved dropping a water-filled condom on a person's head. This challenge could also lead to choking and serious injury.

Eraser challenge - Adolescents began taking part in something called the eraser challenge, which requires participants to say the entire alphabet as they erase a part of their skin. This led to nasty wounds and red marks, of which pictures were then shared on social media.

Ice Bucket Challenge - Also known as the ALS Challenge, this viral dare, which started out as a good cause, involved pouring an ice cold bucket of water filled with ice over one's head. But it actually resulted in the death of one man.

Planking - The internet fad that involved people laying straight, face down with arms tight by their side (like a wooden plank) led to the death of one man after he fell from a seventh floor balcony in Australia.

Deodorant challenge - This challenge requires continuous spraying of aerosol deodorant to test endurance. The trend can lead to severe burns.

Tide Pod challenge - What started off as an internet joke quickly turned dangerous and poisonous after children started ingesting laundry pods, and uploading videos of the dare onto Facebook and YouTube.

Blue whale challenge - This online game requires participants to complete a series of tasks with the ultimate task being suicide. The creator of the harmful game was actually arrested in 2016 for inciting at least 16 young girls to kill themselves.

Momo Challenge - A similar challenge surfaced in 2018, which has been primarily spread through the messaging application WhatsApp. The challenge was linked to the death of a 12-year-old girl in Argentina.

Hot water challenge - Another challenge that can result in burns is the hot water challenge, which requires a participant to pour boiling water on themselves, or even drink it through a straw. This resulted in the death of an eight-year-old girl who burned her throat after seeing a video of the challenge on social media.

Car surfing - This stunt involves people riding on top of moving cars. Naturally, the reckless challenge has resulted in a number of deaths and horrible head injuries.

Salt and ice challenge - The challenge involves putting salt on the skin and then placing an ice cube on top. This results in a burning sensation similar to frost bite. Participants compete against one another to see who can withstand the pain the longest. The game has resulted in scarring and severe burns.

Sunburn art - The popular hashtag online consists of essentially tan tattoos that people are getting on purpose and sharing on social media. But the viral fad can lead to both skin cancer and severe sunburns.

Neknominate - In this challenge, users are nominated to film themselves chugging a pint of alcohol. At least five people have died after participation in the viral game, including two men from the UK.

Warheads challenge - Participants are challenged to eat 150 pieces of this extremely sour candy in 10 minutes. This can result in bloody tongues and loss of taste.

Cutting for Bieber - When photos leaked of Justin Bieber in which he appeared to be smoking marijuana in 2013, the hashtag #CuttingforBieber quickly started trending online, encouraging his legion of disappointed young female fans to cut themselves and post the graphic photos online until Bieber quit weed.

Kylie Jenner lip challenge - Another celebrity challenge took off in 2015, this time inspired by makeup mogul and reality TV star, Kylie Jenner and her plumped up lips. People began inserting their lips into shot glasses and sucking to create a vacuum. This resulted in dangerous bruising, blistering, swelling, and torn and sore lips.
