This July 28, Russia’s national airline Aeroflot canceled more than 50 flights after a reported cyberattack disrupted its systems. A hacking group called Silent Crow has assumed responsibility, claiming ties to Belarusian activists, stating it had spent a year infiltrating the airline’s network.
While Aeroflot cited a technical failure, Russian prosecutors confirmed a cyberattack and launched a criminal investigation. Silent Crow also threatened to release sensitive passenger data, but has offered no proof of the breach.
