The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their second child together, the couple announced on February 14. The news of little one-year-old Archie's forthcoming sibling was accompanied with a beautiful photo of the pair, with a barefoot Harry looking lovingly at Markle, who cradles her prominent baby bump as she rests in his lap.
The occasion is especially joyous as Markle bravely revealed in November that she'd suffered a miscarriage last year. "Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few," she wrote in a heartbreaking essay.
This second child was in the couple's plan as they stepped down as senior royals last year in order to attempt something of a normal family life. Still, though, their second child will be eighth in line to the throne, right after Archie.
But even with Meghan Markle's face continuously splashed across most magazines and tabloids, how much do you really know about the Duchess of Sussex? How does a TV actress become British royalty, with a son in line for the throne, and then seemingly give it up? Well, her journey is anything but ordinary. Check out this gallery to see her regal road from 'Suits' to Sussex and back to Southern California.
