A spokesperson for the couple announced on June 6 that their daughter was born on June 4 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, and added, “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her presence was felt in Harry and Meghan's tell-all with Oprah
- During Harry and Meghan's explosive tell-all with Oprah Winfrey, not only did Meghan wear Lady Di's old sparkling diamond tennis bracelet, but Harry also revealed that when the Royal Family cut him off financially at the start of 2020, the only way he could afford security for his family was thanks to the the money his mother had left behind. “I think she saw it coming,” he said, adding that the decision for him to leave the Royal Family was also influenced by Diana. “My biggest concern was history repeating itself," Harry said. When asked what Princess Diana would think of their exit from the Royal Family, Harry said: "I think she would feel very angry about how this has panned out, but ultimately, all she'd ever want is for us to be happy," adding that he "felt her presence throughout this whole process."
