The world’s largest condom manufacturer, Karex, is planning to raise prices by up to 30% as supply chains are disrupted by the ongoing conflict involving Iran. Chief executive Goh Miah Kiat said rising costs for key raw materials have significantly impacted production, warning that further increases may follow if the situation persists.
Based in Malaysia, Karex produces more than five billion condoms annually, supplying major brands such as Durex and Trojan, as well as public health systems including the National Health Service in the UK.
