On February 24, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made an announcement that Elite Treats LLC has issued a recall for a lot of 6-ounce (170-gram) bags of Elite Treats Chicken Chips for Dogs over the risk of possible salmonella contamination. So far, no illnesses have been reported.

The recalled dog treats were previously sold to Florida Hardware, LLC; the company distributed the products to stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Customers who purchased Elite Treats Chicken Chips for Dogs are asked to check for the following details: the lot number 23045 and an expiry date of 04/2027 on the back side of the products.
