It’s been roughly 20 months since COVID-19 swept humanity to depths that it hadn’t seen since the likes of the Spanish flu. The difference was that this time we were informed, and were expected to be responsible for not spreading the virus. All over the world people locked themselves in their homes, helped sick loved ones, and nursed themselves to health. Many have died. To say that it’s been a hard time is a severe understatement. Unfortunately for many of us, when we come upon hard times we become stressed and turn to drugs and alcohol. With that in mind, Sober October may be our opportunity to reclaim sobriety and regain former levels of mental wellness together.
