Following a 10-week high-profile trial in the town of Morwell, Australia, 50-year-old Erin Patterson, who was accused of poisoning her relatives with a toxic mushroom lunch, was found guilty of three counts of murder. She was also found guilty of the attempted murder of another guest who survived after spending weeks in hospital.
During weeks of testimony, it was unveiled that Patterson deliberately picked up death cap mushrooms in nearby towns. She served the deadly lunch to family members back in July 2023.
