A 4,000-year-old handprint has been discovered at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, United Kingdom, on a 'soul house’—a clay model used for offerings in Ancient Egyptian burials.
Researchers found the print while preparing the piece for the ‘Made in Ancient Egypt’ exhibition, due to open later this year on October 3. They believe the handprint belongs to the potter who made the soul house, which dates back to about 2055 to 1650 BCE.
