King Charles III has recently appointed a new Lord-in-Waiting. The holder of the prestigious role will be expected to attend a number of events and represent the monarch in his absence. Charles III's new Lord-in-Waiting is David Cholmondeley, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, a man with a long history of serving the previous sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II. But while this may seem like an obvious appointment, it's raising eyebrows, as it made an alleged affair story concerning Prince William resurface.
