On June 4, during the UK premiere of his new sci-fi thriller 'Disclosure Day,' legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg said that he believes humanity will discover extraterrestrial life during our lifetime.

Spielberg said his views have become more realistic but also more optimistic, adding that any confirmation of alien life would likely unite people rather than divide them.

The film, which stars Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth, and Eve Hewson, explores themes of secrecy, empathy, and humanity's response to the unknown.

Spielberg's comments come as public fascination with extraterrestrial life remains as strong as ever. Reports of unidentified flying objects continue to spark debate, while questions about government transparency and the possibility of intelligent life beyond Earth have increasingly moved into mainstream discussion. For many, the prospect of first contact remains one of humanity's most intriguing unanswered mysteries.
