During an appearance on ‘Good Day New York’ on February 26, Lisa Rinna claimed she was drugged with fentanyl at ‘The Traitors’ season 4 premiere party in January. She said she later took a drug test, which came back positive.
“I had fentanyl in my system—I’m not kidding,” Rinna said. “I had fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines and other things. But I can’t talk a lot about it, because we’re still dealing with it. It was leaked, and my team is dealing with it now.”
Explaining that she would not publicly name who she believes was responsible, Rinna alleged the incident happened at The Abbey, the popular West Hollywood bar where the event was held. She also claimed that “so many people that I know have had this happen” at the venue, including friends of her daughters.
Tragically, the opioid crisis in the United States is currently claiming the lives of more than 50,000 people a year, a truly shocking death toll largely fueled by fentanyl. The drug, approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is many times more powerful than heroin. When administered properly under strict medical supervision, it's a legitimate and effective painkiller. But fentanyl misuse is causing the deaths of around 150 people every day across the country.
