A far-right party named "TRUMP" has recently launched in Belgium, claiming inspiration for its name came from current US President Donald Trump, this according to local news reports published on November 10.

"Donald Trump is the ultimate symbol of populism. He immediately embodies what we stand for," TRUMP’s founder, Salvatore Nicotra, told media.

The TRUMP party plans to run in the 2029 federal elections as well as in the European Parliament elections that same year. The acronym of the party’s name, TRUMP, stands for Tous Réunis pour l’Union des Mouvements Populistes, translated from French as "All United for the Union of Populist Movements."

Unlike Belgium’s largest far-right party, Flanders’ Vlaams Belang, TRUMP does not advocate for separatism.

Indeed, the success of far-right parties in recent European elections has sent shockwaves across the continent. Europe is shifting further to the right, along with all the implications that come with this change. Driving this political shift is a growing number of young, first-time voters, disillusioned with established mainstream parties and eager for change. But how has Gen Z been persuaded to take such a radical path?
